01

Overview

A concept campaign showing how a small independent cafe can use geo-targeted Meta ads and a content system to win weekday regulars instead of one-time weekend visitors. Portfolio work — no client data involved.

02

Challenge

Cafes rarely have an attention problem; they have a repeat-visit problem. The concept brief was to grow weekday morning covers without discounting coffee.

  • Weekend-heavy, weekday-light traffic
  • High visibility but low recall
  • No owned customer list
03

Research

Catchment analysis focused on office density, walking radius and morning commute flow. Review mining across nearby cafes showed people choose on speed and consistency in the morning, and on atmosphere on weekends — two entirely different messages.

04

Competitor Analysis

Chain competitors advertise convenience and app rewards; independents post latte art with no offer or call to action. The gap: nobody was advertising a weekday morning ritual.

05

Marketing Strategy

Split the brand into two messages by daypart. Weekday: speed, order-ahead, the 8-minute coffee. Weekend: slow mornings, seating, the menu. Media geo-fenced to a tight walking and short-drive radius with dayparted delivery.

06

Creative Concepts

Concepts written for both dayparts.

  • 'Your 8-minute morning' — POV commute-to-counter video
  • 'The regular's card' — loyalty as a status object
  • 'Weekend table for two hours' — atmosphere-led stills
07

Meta Campaign

Radius-targeted reach and traffic campaigns dayparted to 7–10am on weekdays, plus a weekend awareness push. Retargeting layered against Instagram engagers and video viewers.

08

Lead Funnel

A simple loyalty sign-up as the conversion event, feeding an owned list used for launch drops and slow-day nudges — turning paid reach into an asset the cafe keeps.

09

Results Goal

Success would be measured on weekday morning covers, loyalty sign-up cost, and 30-day repeat rate. No results are claimed here — this is a strategy concept.

10

Lessons Learned

For hospitality, dayparting the message matters more than dayparting the budget. The same cafe is genuinely two different products before and after 11am.
